• Avoid getting your ears wet: For the first week after surgery, you should avoid getting your ears wet at all, either from showering or swimming!
• Use a gentle cleanser: After the first week, you can gently clean your ears with a mild soap or cleanser, taking care to avoid the incision site!
• Avoid cotton swabs: Avoid using cotton swabs or Q-tips, as they can irritate the incision site and increase the risk of infection.
• Use a soft cloth: Instead, use a soft cloth to gently clean the outer ear, being careful not to apply too much pressure.
